Pine/Strawberry Communities

Pine and Strawberry are rapidly growing vacation and retirement communities in the north central part of Arizona, just under the famous Mogollon Rim. Pine's elevation is approximately 5,500 feet and is named for the fabulous pine forests in the surrounding country. Strawberry at an elevation of approximately 6,000 feet was named for the wild strawberries that grow in the area. These unincorporated villages are located a short 1 1/2 to 2 hour drive northeast of the Phoenix area and boast the "cleanest air in the world". There are four mild seasons (note the statistics below) that offer a year 'round respite from the hustle and bustle of city life. The strategic location known as Arizona Rim Country© offers scenic trails for amateurs and experienced hikers and backpackers. While your here don't miss the many other area attractions such as Tonto Natural Bridge and the Strawberry Schoolhouse, the oldest schoolhouse in Arizona. Three times a year, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and Labor Day there are arts and craft festivals that offer entertainment for the entire family.

Weather

One of Pine and Strawberry's best features is its wonderful climate. It doesn't get any better than this! Wintertime does bring some snow, however being situated just under the Mogollon Rim the area doesn't suffer from extreme temperature variations. Each of the four mild seasons has its own beauty and excitement from year to year.
